Between Munich and Tegernsee in a quiet location

Im Herzen des Tölzer Landes zwischen München und dem Tegernsee liegt unser idyllischer Bernhardhof in einem kleinen, sonnigen Weiler bei Otterfing. Kinder toben gefahrenlos übers Gelände, Erwachsene genießen die Blumenpracht und die Nähe zu den Bergen, Seen und bayerischen Orten. Wir, Verena und Ludwig, unsere beiden kleinen Kinder Lukas und Anna sowie unsere Oma Marianne freuen uns auf Sie.

Check-in is possible from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM or by arrangement. We have a key box where we can deposit your key. Further information about the key box will be provided after booking. Check-out is until 10:00 AM or by arrangement. Free cancellation for rooms is dependent on the season (see booking conditions) or for holiday apartments up to 3 weeks before arrival, thereafter 80% of the total price will be charged as cancellation fees. A deposit for holiday apartments may be required, amounting to 70% of the total price, and is due immediately after booking. The remaining amount is to be paid on-site in cash or by EC- or credit card. No refund for early departure. We strongly recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance. If booking is made less than ... days before the date of arrival, the total payment amount is due immediately. If booked less than 1 day before the date of arrival, the total payment amount is to be paid in cash upon key handover. Card payment is possible. Pets are not allowed. We are a non-smoking establishment!

Location & Size

Our farm scores with its special location: quiet and secluded, at the same time wonderfully central. Bad Tölz is a good 20 km away, Gmund am Tegernsee can be reached in less than half an hour and the state capital Munich from the nearby S-Bahn station in 35 minutes.

The Bernhardhof could tell stories. For its origins date back to 1538, when it belonged to the church of Steingau in the village of the same name south of our farm. In 1829 the first Schlickenrieder married into it and since then it has remained in our family - meanwhile we farm it in the sixth generation with 92 hectares of arable land, grassland and forest.

We have made our vacation apartments and rooms fine in the past years: fine, in the sense of comfortable and beautiful to look at. The furniture is made of solid wood, the kitchens are well equipped, the floors are made of wood. Every year details are changed, textiles are exchanged, so that our guests feel really comfortable. We are hosts with passion. Our fine breakfast buffet is the perfect start to a vacation day: with a selection of savory and sweet items, fruits, vegetables, yogurt and cereals in our beautifully restored former stable vault. What our guests especially love? The view of our beautiful vegetable garden, over meadows and forests and horse paddocks to the horizon.

Farm experiences

In 1998 we switched from dairy farming to arable farming: We grow malting barley, winter wheat, canola, corn and, since 2021, non-GMO soy. In 2016, we added a large horse stable with group stalls and spacious paddocks for boarding horses. Even though horseback riding is not possible with us, the sight of the beautiful animals is always a feast for the eyes of our guests. Families with children enjoy the proximity to the bathing lakes in summer: the Kirchsee, the Harmatinger Weiher, the Starnberger See and the Tegernsee. While the parents can relax in the spacious garden, the kids are happy about our fleet of vehicles: pedal tractors, trailers, tractors and large kettcars from Berg. What else is there with us:

In the middle of it all, yet far away....

Wake up in the morning with birdsong, perhaps start a bike tour directly from the farm after a sumptuous breakfast, stop at the Bräustüberl at Lake Tegernsee - or visit the Viktualienmarkt and the German Museum in Munich. The Bernhardhof is centrally located and at the same time quiet and secluded in the Tölzer Land. Couples, old and young appreciate our farm as an ideal starting point for all kinds of activities. For those who like hiking, we can recommend decent tours in the Tegernsee or Lengries mountains.

Winter in the Oberland

Not always does Frau Holle keep what the winter promises. But often it is like in Wonderland. Then the children get out the sled, build snowmen and race down our village hills. In nearby Otterfing, Hartpenning or Schaftlach, the cross-country trails are then groomed and numerous winter hiking trails are available. If you like alpine skiing, you can drive to Brauneck, 35 minutes away, or to Spitzingsee.

Highlights in the surroundings

The Tölzer Oberland is an Eldorado for adventurous vacationers. You can go for extensive walks directly from the farm - or get on your bike. In summer the Upper Bavarian lakes, mountain peaks in the alpine region Schliersee - Tegernsee or the beautiful Chiemgau attract. Golfers can choose from several top facilities, for example "Golf Valley". The royal castles are just as quickly reached as the state capital Munich with its extensive cultural offerings, the old city quarters or for families the zoo Hellabrunn. For those who are enthusiastic about soccer, we recommend a visit to the Allianz Arena. We have many more tips in store.
