Paradise by the stream in the Altmühltal Nature Park
All 4-star flats have a balcony or terrace - you sit in the middle of nature and can enjoy the beautiful view over the valley.
Breakfast buffet, tractor rides, campfire, pony rides are all part of our service.
Location and size
Our holiday farm is situated in the beautiful Altmühl valley in the small district of Bürg, just under 2 km north-west of Titting. Eichstätt, the bishop's see and seat of the administration of the Altmühl Nature Park, can be reached in less than 20 minutes, Weißenburg in Bavaria likewise, Ingolstadt is 40 minutes away and the state capital Munich a maximum of 1 ½ hours.
In 1950, our grandparents acquired the farmstead - and built a farmhouse in which our holiday flats are now located. Our guests, mainly families with children, love the wonderful location by the Anlauter Bach stream and appreciate the spaciousness of the flats, two of which even measure 80 sqm. We have furnished them comfortably in modern country house style - and have extensive equipment for children, toddlers and babies (changing mat, high chairs, baby beds and much more) ready for you. All our flats have a spacious balcony or terrace, from where the view, depending on the orientation towards the stream, sweeps over the courtyard, meadows, trees and our endless hilly landscape.
For breakfast, we are happy to put fresh bread rolls in front of your door, you can get fine milk and yoghurt from the neighbouring farm on request and our self-pressed apple-pear juice as well as our jams made from the fruits of the garden are very popular with our guests: this is how you start the perfect holiday day.
Farm experiences
What is the difference between hay and straw? Why are our cows fed twice a day? How do you care for and groom a pony? - It is important to us that families with children not only learn about farming from picture books. For this reason, we invite them to join us in the barn at around five and help us care for the animals.
We are a pure rearing farm with about 40 young cows - which are not only happy about fresh grass or hay, but also about wheat, barley or fodder maize, which we grow, tend and harvest ourselves.
In addition to the cows, our two ponies Billy and Lotti are happy to be lovingly cared for and rewarded with guided short rides in the nearby surroundings. We also have rabbits, sheep, cats, ducks and chickens, which are so tame that you can even take them in your arms.
Play paradise by the stream
Wade with your feet in the cool water, build dams, refresh yourself in the natural pump - and forget about time. Our Anlauter Bach stream is a real highlight for young and old. While the children splash around, the adults have time for a good book or a cup of coffee in the sun. In the evening, you can end the day with a campfire and barbecue together. What else is there with us
a raft on the stream
tree house
play tower
slide, swing and sauna trough swing
Sandpit and table tennis
Lots of pedal cars - bobby cars, tractors with trailers and kettcars
Hay bouncy castle with overnight shelter
revolving carousel
Guided riding with our two ponies: Billy, a German riding pony, and little Lotti, a mini shetty.
Spring beckons with its blossom dress
We like every season - but we are especially fond of spring. That's when the famous dry meadows bloom in all imaginable bright colours. Discover rare plants such as the pasque flower, white daisies, knapweed or blue sage and enjoy the bees that are busy producing honey.
Campers welcome
Do you love to set up your quarters in the middle of nature? To be woken up in the morning by the chirping of the local birds or to listen to the crickets in the evening? Of course, we are not a professional campsite - but our three pitches for campers or tents directly by the stream have become very popular. You are welcome to supply yourself with electricity - we also have WC and shower facilities.
Highlights in the surroundings
Your holiday starts right on our doorstep: for example, with a walk along the stream towards Bechthal and its castle ruins. In summer, the nearby Bechthal pond, which you can reach by bike in eight minutes, or the Kratzmühlsee, which is a good 20 km away, are very attractive. We highly recommend a canoe trip on the Altmühl, an excursion to the Altmühltal Dinosaur Museum and the Limes border wall in our village of Titting. For cyclists, we recommend the Anlautertal cycle path, because it is still a real Geheitipp. The baroque town of Eichstätt with its beautiful old town is definitely worth a trip.
