Quietly located house with beekeeping on Lake Starnberg

Herzlich Willkommen in unserem familiengeführten Gästehaus mit hofeigener Imkerei. Wir, das sind die Familien Ott und Mayr mit unserer kleinen Johanna, freuen uns auf Ihren Besuch.

The former “Schusterhof”, which can be traced back to the 16th century, became our guesthouse Ott. It is idyllically situated between the Osterseen and the Starnberger See between forest and meadows. Nevertheless, Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen can be reached via the highway in about 45 minutes. In the years 2020-2023 we expanded our guesthouse and built modern and very spacious vacation apartments in place of the former cowshed. The existing bed and breakfast was renovated and modernized.
Our guest house offers something for every taste and budget, from simple rooms with shared shower/WC to double rooms with en-suite bathrooms and high-quality vacation apartments. A fully equipped communal kitchen is available.
Our breakfast buffet in the newly built breakfast room invites you to enjoy a good start to the day. A special highlight is the homemade bread baked by our sister “Lisi” and her ever-changing jam creations. Do you already know sour cherry with coffee or pumpkin jam with orange? The eggs from the nearby Hellinger chicken farm are just as much a treat as the honey from our bees. In late summer, junior boss Sofie spoils our guests with fresh cucumbers from her greenhouse and tomatoes in countless varieties.
Our family has always been deeply rooted in beekeeping. Sofie Ott (beekeeper) and Katharina Mayr (master beekeeper) are now the fourth generation to run a part-time beekeeping business. Beekeeping courses are held regularly in our guest house. You are welcome to take part free of charge and immerse yourself in the colorful world of beekeeping.

Our barrier-free, newly built, non-smoking vacation apartment has an open-plan kitchen which leads into a spacious living and dining area. Free W-Lan access is of course available. The very spacious bathroom has a walk-in shower, which can also be used by wheelchair users. The modern underfloor heating and wall heating in the shower area spread a pleasant warmth.
The terrace belonging to the apartment invites you to linger in comfort.

Located on the second floor, our newly renovated non-smoking vacation apartment has a floor space of approx. 80 square meters and is furnished in a cosy hunting lodge style. The apartment has 2 separate bedrooms, a separate kitchen, a bathroom (of course equipped with hairdryer and cosmetic mirror) and a very spacious living room area with a generous dining area and a cozy sofa / TV corner.

Our newly built non-smoking vacation apartment “Nestal” is located on the 2nd floor. It has a bedroom, an open kitchen unit with counter area, a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and a cozy TV sitting area. The entire apartment is equipped with underfloor heating.
The open exposed roof truss in combination with indirect lighting creates a feel-good atmosphere. A sofa bed in the living area also offers an additional sleeping option.

Our newly built non-smoking vacation apartment on the second floor has a bedroom with 2 separate beds, an open kitchen with a counter area, a very spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower as well as a cozy TV seating area and an inviting dining area. In the living area, 2 sofa beds offer the possibility of additional sleeping space.
Our Sunnaseitn apartment has underfloor heating throughout the apartment and wall heating in the shower area.
A balcony also invites you to linger.
