Wir, das sind Julia & Stephan Babel, leben auf dem Mächlerhof den einzigartigen Kreislauf von kleiner landwirtschaftlicher Urproduktion, Direktvermarktung und Veredelung zu ehrlichen Gerichten in unserer Hofküche. Vollkommen wird der Kreislauf, weil wir ihn für unsere Gäste erlebbar machen, ob während eines Urlaubs in unseren besonderen Unterkünften, beim Besuch des Hofrestaurants oder bei Events.

The Mächlerhof stands for enjoying with all senses. We offer our vacation guests a wide range of gourmet services that are included in the price of their stay.
For example, the kitchens in our Mächler maisonettes are equipped with high-quality basic products such as olive oil and spices.
Additional gourmet services can be booked on site.

We have found our home on the southern slope of the Auerberg in the region of the south-eastern part oft he Allgäu, not far from Füssen. The Mächlerhof is an old farmhouse that we have lovingly renovated and brought back to life. But it is more than that: it is a place of power where you can simply BE. The breathtaking nature around the farm and the cozy comfort of all the rooms make it easy for you to find peace and quiet here and to surrender to the moment: while eating good food, talking to your counterpart, watching the clouds in your accommodation or learning from and with nature. We offer not only our sincere warmth, but also time for the essential things in life: enjoying the moment. See for yourself and be our guest.

If you stop by our beautiful farm restaurant, you'll get food for the soul. Whether coffee with friends, private or company celebrations or a nice meal in the evening: we cook & serve with passion. For you.
And as a holiday guest you have a home field advantage: you can also order a good meal up to your accommodation during opening hours of our restaurant (Thursday, Friday, Saturday).
Have we already mentioned breakfast? You don't have to worry about it on your first morning - we'll take care of that and provide you with a well-sorted breakfast basket that we bring to your accommodation. This is the perfect way to start your first day of your vacation. On the other mornings you can order breakfast as required.

TIME TO MATURE
People, animals, food: it takes time to mature so that full potential can unfold. It takes respect and attention for good things to emerge. Nature shows us how it works. It is time for us all to pay more attention to the rules of nature and to learn from it.
On our Mächlerhof farm, we are passionate about our small-scale farming, which is dedicated to keeping suckler cows of old, robust breeds as the most natural form of husbandry. We are deeply convinced that this species-appropriate husbandry with respect and love for the animals ultimately provides us with healthy and tasty food. We also keep animals that live in symbiosis with our suckler cow herds. The horses and donkeys take care of the after-grazing, sheep and goats protect our chickens from predators, among other things. Not to mention the peace and unconditional affection that the animals can give us.

When we found this farmstead and walked around the property for the first time, we immediately fell in love with the enchanted, dilapidated, ancient wooden beehive nestled against the western edge of the trees. It stood in the middle of a meadow of dandelions and sparked our imagination: would it be a cozy reading corner? Or simply a tool shed? Or should we take it as a sign and start beekeeping?

Time has shown that it must become a place for our guests that tells the original story of this gem. The external character must be preserved. The old formwork, the bees' flight path, the tiny ventilation windows.

Everyone thought we were crazy - but we are so happy that we didn't let ourselves be dissuaded from saving this extraordinary building to create a super cool, cozy and high-quality Tiny House for you and your time out at the Mächlerhof. You will love it!

With the "Sternenhimmel" Tiny House, the name says it all.

Immerse yourself in an exclusive Tiny House, custom-made for us, which we think is hard to beat in its generosity despite its limited space. We bring the endless expanse of the Allgäu dream world into your temporary home. A large arched window opens up the view towards the mountains and from your cozy bed under the roof you can watch the stars at night through a ceiling window.

You can completely relax in the Tiny House Sternenhimmel.

The split-level living space with surrounding skylights is lined with fragrant and soothing Swiss stone pine. You don't have to do without anything in your Tiny. You can expect a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy reading corner with a panoramic window, a dining area with a wood-fired stove, a modern bathroom with a large shower and two separate sleeping areas under the roof. A private terrace makes your vacation experience perfect.

With the self-sufficient "Weidenglück" Tiny House, the name says it all.

Because we believe that happiness on earth is not only to be found on horseback, but also on a sustainably managed pasture with fantastic views of the Allgäu mountains. Here, our animals live in harmony with nature during the grazing season and, if you wish, you can too - in silent observation of the natural treasures that are presented to you day and night from the large windows of your self-sufficient Tiny House.

No television, no smartphone, no laptop needed. Just you and the nature around you.

In the Tiny House Weidenglück you can completely relax and concentrate on the essentials:
enjoying the moment.

The split-level living space, including the surrounding skylights, is made from solid wood. This also applies to the kitchen, bathroom and built-in furniture. You don't have to do without anything essential in your Tiny. You can expect a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob and small fridge, a cozy reading corner with panoramic window and a dining area by the wood-burning stove, a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet and a large double bed under the roof. The nature around you is your terrace and makes your vacation experience perfect.
